Stone Mountain Park is located 26 km east of Atlanta, Georgia. It is located on Stone Mountain which is a quartz monzonite dome monadnock, composed of quartz monzonite, granite, and granodiorite. The summit of the mountain can be reached by ascending a trail or via the Skyride aerial tram. Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc. worked with Stone Mountain in 2014 and were contracted out by Doppelmayr USA to oversee the cleaning of the Summit Skyride rope.
