We supply products to suit a wide array of rigging applications. We offer basic rigging solutions for the do-it-yourself individual through to specialized solutions for the aerial and urban ropeways industry. We draw from 35 years of knowledge and expertise and a very well respected international support network to assist our customers with their rigging challenges. Rigging Specialties has grown over the years in order to offer our customers a wide array of products and services.

OUR HISTORY

1998 – 2000

IT ALL STARTED
WITH CHOCOLATE (YUM)

During the winter of 1998 in a small village in the Swiss Alps the beginning of a new business venture was realized: to offer the Canadian souvenir market a supreme quality chocolate wrapped in famous Canadian tourist destination pictures. In the spring of 2000, under the company name of E.V.A.S. Trading Co. Ltd, the first shipment of chocolate arrived under the trade name of Sweet Souvenirs of Canada.

2000 – 2003

WE WENT FROM CHOCOLATE TO
SELLING HOISTS. (TRUE STORY)

Three years into this blooming business came the desire to expand into new product lines. A long history in the aerial ropeways industry assisted the decision making process.  A few months later the first shipment of Swiss manufactured hoists arrived. As with the chocolate, the distribution of the hoists began to grow. Eventually as time went on, a fork in the road presented itself. Although chocolate and hoists were both excellent products in their own right, they were so different from one another. After careful contemplation, the difficult choice was made to discontinue the production and sale of chocolate and to focus on expanding into the rigging industry more.

2003 – NOW

NOW REPRESENT 20+ COMPANIES

Over the years Rigging Specialties has grown to represent over 20 companies encompassing an extensive product offering. In 2006, an expansion of rigging services resulted in the formation of Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc. which offers installation, maintenance, and consulting services for the ropeways industry. In 2011, Rigging Specialties opened a new division, Titan Wire & Cable Canada, offering balance of system products for the photovoltaic industry.
