The Snowbird Aerial Tram is in Snowbird, Utah which is a 40-minute drive from Salt Lake City. Opening in 1971, and installed by Garaventa of Switzerland, it was one of the first four ski lifts at the resort when it first opened. The tram is over 2.5 km long and rises over 880 meters during the 10-minute trip to the top of Hidden Peak. Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc. was contracted out by Doppelmayr USA to perform the supervisory duties for the exchange of all track ropes and the haul rope.
