Banff Gondola is located 5 minutes from downtown Banff on Sulphur Mountain. The gondola cable is 1,560 meters long with an elevation gain of 698 meters. To this day, it is the only bi-cable gondola in Canada. Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc. and Rigging Specialties have worked with Banff Gondola since 2012, providing services such as: NDT testing, rope inspections, haul rope change, tower maintenance, counterweight tensioning, Elaskon Spray, haul rope shortening, annual gondola maintenance, and rigging equipment and supplies, such as: lighting jack 3T, liners, door cables, roller pins, Fatzer track ropes, slings, latches.
