The Sandia Peak Tramway is an aerial tramway located adjacent to Albuquerque, New Mexico. It has taken more than 10 million passengers up to the top of Sandia Peak and back again and celebrates its 48th anniversary in May of 2015. The tram is 2.7 miles in diagonal length, rising 4000 feet to bring its passengers to an elevation of 10,378 foot summit. It is a bi-cable double reversible aerial passenger tramway with two tramcars each carring up to 50 passengers. Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc. was contracted out to offer their expertise and technical know-how to install a new haul rope in December, 2014.
