Located 70 Kilometers from Hope, BC in the Fraser Canyon, the Hell’s Gate Airtram is one of the steepest fully suspended trams in North America. The tram was originally constructed in 1969 by Habegger Engineering Works of Thun Switzerland. The tram leaves from the Cascade Mountain range and docks at the foot of the Coast Pacific Mountain Range all the while crossing over the great Fraser River. The tram is a double reversible cable way. Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc. was contracted out to perform various maintenance services on the tram.
