Located at the crest of Stevens Pass in the Cascade Range of Washington state lies the Stevens Pass Ski area.  The resort has a history spanning more than 80 years. In the late 1930’s two adventure seekers acted on their vision by hauling an old V8 engine, some pulleys and some rope up the Skykomish Valley. The beginning of their dream had materialized.  In 1937 the first rope tow was installed. Over the decades the resort has grown to include 10 chairlifts accessing 1,125 acres of terrain. Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc. was contracted out by Stevens Pass Ski Area to supervise the exchange of a haul rope on one of the chair lifts.
